Dr. John T. Weiss, DPT

Dr. Weiss graduated from Widener University in 2003 where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree with a specialization in orthopedic manual therapy. While at Widener he also completed the certificate program in Health Care Management from the School of Business Administration. Prior to graduate school, John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Boston University in 1996. John is certified as a Clinical Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and implements ergonomic principles in his treatment plan to help prevent repetitive strain injuries in the workplace. His professional experience in physical therapy includes orthopedics, sports medicine, aquatic therapy, neurological rehab, home care and acute care.

John made his dream a reality and opened his private practice, Weiss Physical Therapy Associates, on July 2008 and takes pride in providing quality physical therapy services to the communities of Central PA. Dr. Weiss emphasizes the importance of utilizing hands-on manual therapy techniques due to its effectiveness at producing positive outcomes. He stays abreast of current research and evidence-based practice through continuing education courses. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association as well as the orthopedic section. John’s personal interests include traveling, playing and watching sports, cooking, volunteer work & spending time with family. John lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife Heather and they have two children, Bryce and Ella.
