John T. Weiss, DPT

Dr. Weiss graduated from Widener University in 2003 where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree with a specialization in orthopedic manual therapy. While at Widener he also completed the certificate program in Health Care Management from the School of Business Administration. John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Boston University in 1996. John is certified as a Clinical Ergonomics Assessment Specialist (CEAS). He implements ergonomic principles in his treatment plans, as well as offering professional consulting advice to businesses to help prevent musculoskeletal injuries.

His professional experience in physical therapy includes aquatic therapy, orthopedics, sports medicine, neurological rehab, home care and acute care. Dr. Weiss made his dream a reality and opened his private practice, Weiss Physical Therapy Associates, in July 2008 and takes pride in providing quality physical therapy services to the communities of Central PA. John emphasizes the importance of utilizing hands-on manual therapy techniques due to its effectiveness at producing positive outcomes. He stays abreast of current research and evidence-based practice through continuing education courses. He is a member of American Physical Therapy Association as well as the orthopedic section as well as the orthopedic and private practice sections."

John's personal interests include traveling, playing and watching sports, cooking, volunteer work & spending time with family. John's wife, Heather, works as the office manager in the practice and they have two children, Bryce and Ella.
